Every Sunday at 6pm at the Catholic Croatian Centre.
Activities
The Catholic Croatian Centre is based in the former Catholic Primary School building, cnr Union & Bryant Street, Tighes Hill.
Father Peter Mak Eusebius OFM (a Franciscan Friar) leads the Croatian community in Holy Mass and offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Sundays at the Catholic Croatian Centre in Tighes Hill. Father Eusebius also visits sick and elderly people usually on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Italian Mass Community
Aim
To minister to parishioners who have formed an Italian Catholic community in Newcastle, most having migrated from Italy.

Activities
Our Italian Catholic community comes together for Mass in the Italian language every Sunday at St Laurence O’Toole’s Church at Broadmeadow at 9.30 am. From 1957 until 2002 the Scalabrini Fathers ministered to the Italian community at Hamilton. Since 2002, Cardinal Cassidy has generously taken this role during his retirement. Cardinal Cassidy was ordained in July 1949. Click here for Cardinal Cassidy's Reflections on his distinguished priestly career, including many years in Vatican service. In 2008, Fr Stefan Sapun joined Cardinal Cassidy in ministering to the Italian Catholic community.
A group from the Italian community meets as required to plan and coordinate all liturgies for liturgical seasons and feasts.
Polish Mass Community
Aim
To minister to parishioners who have formed a Polish Catholic community in Newcastle, most having migrated from Poland.

Every fifth Sunday of the month, and the Sundays closest to Christmas and Easter, at 6.00 pm at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Newcastle West.
Activities
Father Darko Znidarsic OFM (a Franciscan Friar) travels from Sydney to lead the Newcastle Slovenian Community in Mass and sacraments. Approximately 60 people attend.
Vietnamese Mass Community
Aim
To minister to parishioners who have formed a Vietnamese Catholic community in Newcastle, most having migrated from Vietnam.

A Vietnamese speaking priest comes from Sydney for special occasions, including Christmas, to offer Mass. The community gathers for a meal afterwards.
