Two Vinnies Conferences
The St Vincent de Paul Parish Conferences are a quiet but powerful expression of Christian charity within our communities. Inspired by the compassion of St Vincent de Paul, members reach out to those experiencing hardship, offering practical assistance, friendship, and hope. Through home visits, support programs, and generous listening, the Conferences seek to uphold the dignity of every person and remind those who struggle that they are not alone. New members and supporters are always welcome to share in this ministry of care and compassion.
Concerts
Sacred Heart Cathedral is proud to host regular concerts that celebrate music, faith, and community. From choral masterworks and sacred music to community performances and special events, these gatherings invite people into the beauty and acoustic richness of the Cathedral. Through music, hearts are lifted, stories are shared, and our sacred space becomes a place of encounter, reflection, and joy for the wider community. Simbang Gabi
Simbang Gabi is a cherished Advent tradition celebrated by the Filipino Catholic community, preparing hearts for the birth of Christ through a series of joyful Masses. In the Philipines the Masses are early-morning. At Sacred Heart they are held for nine evenings leading to Christmas Eve. Rich in prayer, music, culture, and hospitality, these celebrations express hope, perseverance, and deep faith as Christmas draws near. At Sacred Heart Cathedral, Simbang Gabi gathers people from many cultures, reminding us that the Church is a family united in faith, welcome, and joyful expectation of the Lord’s coming. All are warmly invited to share in this beautiful tradition.
