We may not be blessed like the boy in today’s Gospel. He saw the miracle brought about by his generosity. His meagre contribution of loaves and fish fed the hunger of thousands of people; the very crowd who desire to be close to the Lord. May the fragility of our lives and the limitation of our resources not deter us to be generous in reaching out to those in need; may our charity lead them closer to God.
