Up until the time Jesus came on Earth, the world order operated on the premise that the strong could oppress the weak and the rich could exploit the poor. Then by His teachings and actions, the Lord started a revolution that began to turn this kind of thinking on its head, at least among His followers who became the Christian Church. As we begin National Child Protection Week, we are called to champion the rights of children, the most vulnerable in our communities, like we’ve never done before. By our commitment to practicing and promoting the safeguarding standards put in place by our Diocese and government authorities, we can all make an invaluable contribution to this important cause.
