The Lord has always given signs to those He has called to be His messengers, so they could have no doubt amidst whatever trials they faced, they were acting in the service of the one true God. In today’s readings, Abraham on Mt Moriah and the Apostles on Mt Tabor received powerful signs vindicating their faith in God. Though perhaps less dramatic, there will also be powerful signs from God in our lives too.  Fr John
