The Allegory of the ten bridesmaids reminds us to be alert to the coming of the Kingdom. We are entreated to keep our eyes open, our hearts aflame with hopeful expectation, and our minds focused on the right priorities in life: ‘stay awake, because you do not know either the day or the hour.’                                                       Jenny Close
