To cope or to hope … today’s Gospel reminds us of our intimations with our very own limitations. Everyone progresses towards an end. Even the heaven and the earth will wither.
Like most apocalyptic literature, references to the end can easily lead to overwhelming anxiety. Yet, Christ encourages us, not to simply cope with life’s fragility, but to place our hope in God’s promise that God will show us the path to life. Fr Anthony
