The Word of God – the sacred scriptures – are fundamental to our whole life of faith. Without it we would have no Gospel, no Church, no sacraments and no sure knowledge of God or His saving love for us as revealed through the person of Jesus: ‘The Word that became flesh and dwelt among us’ (John 1:14).
