This week alone we witnessed a series of violent and horrific tragedies both on the global and local scenes. One wonders where we can find the love God has lavished on us. Yet as we take a second look at those painful events, we find anecdotes of goodness and courageous kindness from individuals who, in ordinary times, are strangers to each other; yet, due to their shared anguish and suffering, they have become neighbours who struggle for the good of others. May our concern for each other radiate the face of the Good Shepherd who will even lay down one’s life for the service and care of others.  Fr Anthony
