In the Gospel this week, Jesus shows us the importance of being present and sensitive to the spiritual and material needs of those who unexpectedly come to us for help. And that is why the Lord is calling us to devote significant time and effort to the service of the poor and needy in our various communities and the world at large. In what ways can I be more present and sensitive to the spiritual and material needs of others?
