You probably know the sayings: ‘One door closes, another door opens’ and ‘Nothing stays the same forever’. Change in our own lives, and the world generally, often comes about through periods of crisis and calamity. It’s in this context that we might see the great signs spoken of in today’s Gospel. So, let’s pray for the faith, courage and love to embrace every hardship and uncertainty we encounter, knowing that in God’s plan there is light and new life at the end of every dark tunnel.
