Our psalm today cries out: The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy! This is a cry from the heart, a cry of unfettered thanksgiving. Are we a people who show this joy to the world, to our families, to our friends and community? Let us remember the great things the Lord has done for us, especially in our time together in the Eucharist, for not only are we called to repentance, but also welcomed to the table of the Lord. This Advent let us not forget that we are a people waiting for the coming of the Lord, and at the same time be ready to recognize His presence already among us, sometimes in the most humble of places.
