Jesus reminds us today that following him won’t always bring peace and comfort—it may even set us at odds with others. The Gospel challenges us to choose faithfulness over ease, and to keep the fire of God’s love burning bright within us.  

“Stay awake, be ready! Today’s Gospel reminds us that faith isn’t about waiting idly – it’s about living each day alert to God’s presence, ready to meet Him in the ordinary and the unexpected.”  

“You cannot serve both God and wealth.” A reminder that true life and fulfillment come not from accumulating possessions, but from trusting God’s providence and seeking His kingdom first. Wealth may fill your hands, but only God fills your heart.  

“Martha, Martha… you are worried and distracted by many things” (Luke 10:41)In a noisy world of doing, Jesus invites us to the one thing needed—presence. Like Mary, let us sit, listen, and rest in Him.
