In Week 2 of Advent, John the Baptist calls: clear the clutter, ready the heart.  Prepare, simplify, breathe. Christ is on the way.

“Today we celebrate Christ the King—whose reign has no rival and whose power is mercy, service, and love. As the liturgical year ends, we proclaim a kingdom built not on crowns and swords but on compassion, truth, and hope beginning again.”

“As the Church year draws to a close, today’s Gospel reminds us: don’t fear the shaking—God is still steady. In every ending He plants a beginning.”

Today we remember and pray for all who have gone before us in faith. May the perpetual light of Christ shine upon them, and may we be comforted by the hope of resurrection.
