Blessing ourselves in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit has become such a regular part of our lives as Christians, that we can often do it without really thinking of the three Divine persons we are invoking. They are also often referred to as: the Creator, the Redeemer and the Sanctifier, in view of our experience of God’s self-revelation of Himself in the scriptures.
