Once again, we come to our diocese’s Perpetual Day of Remembrance, decreed by our Late Bishop Bill in 2020. The day itself falls on 15^th September, which is the Memorial of Our Lady of Sorrows, though we honour it in a special way each year in our Masses on the preceding Sunday. The readings for this Sunday each year remain the same. Their theme is one of light and hope, against a background of pain and sorrow. At this time, we especially pray for those who cannot pray and for ourselves. We pray for peace and healing.   Fr John
